Gavel

Just a note before you begin reading this article. We're exploring the topic of the judgment in this space and today, starting with page 5, we are looking at some important issues that prepare us for that discussion. We are dealing with three big questions:

1. What happens when you die?

2. What happens when Jesus comes?

3. What is the 1,000 years or milennium about?

There's a lot of debate on these topics but I am going to present some biblical arguments that follow the logic of God's love. I hope you will stay with this feature as it develops. Also, look at the Steadfast link for the start of my new book, Steadfast!

Now, I am a firm believer that we are nearing the close of earth's history and though it is not critical to me whether that happens in a year or in 100 years, (I'll explain) there are events that were predicted in the Bible  that have become far more important to me than the date for the end. One of those important events is something called the investigative Judgment. In this article I am going to share with you some important Bible facts and then share how I choose to relate to those concepts. Also I want to share some of George Knight's concepts that I find uplifting and bold because they are so strongly rooted in scripture. Finally, I want to dig into why this is important for daily life and how enriching it is.  This article is going to take a while to build, so you need to check back frequently to get the complete message. I will be adding to it a bit each day as the Lord permits. So let's get to it!

One-shot Living

What if you only had one shot at life--I mean, what if today was all you had. What would you do with this one and only day? Well, those are critical questions. As I read the Bible, I see that this is the way we can find great satisfaction and exhilaration in our personal experience. That sounds good but it raises the question: What does this kind of thinking add to my life? Is this another half-baked self-help plan? Let's explore this concept as you read on.

Heart Gauge

Can you determine how faithful you are in your Christian walk? How do you know you have faith? Do you simply depend on your feelings? The ups and downs of human emotions make feelings an unreliable gauge for tracking faithfulness. You know how it is: This week was a bad week. I don’t feel up to putting on the show, so I stay away from church until I can get my act together! What a roller coaster life that is.

It would be better to use a gauge that the Creator has devised.
